My New Book — Why You Should Act Now

by Mira on March 21st, 2008

Do affairs have anything to do with you? The odds are, yes.

You know, a colleague of mine is teaching a graduate course and a few days ago the subject of cheating came up. By the time everyone had had their say, it turned out that 9 of the 15 people in the class had been touched by an affair in a big way.

So you probably need, and I know you’ll be interested in, my new book: WHEN GOOD PEOPLE HAVE AFFAIRS. Only then will you really know what’s going on and how to handle it. ACT NOW: if you pre-order you can probably save money.

It would be specially great if you went to your independent bookstore and asked them to order some copies. Independent bookstores (you know, not the chainstores or Amazon) carry a lot of weight with publishers. So order your copy now. You’ll be glad you did. Then you’ll be the expert in what’s really going on when someone has an affair.

Now it turns out that the new governor of New York, David Paterson, and his wife Michelle were both unfaithful to each other during a bad patch in their marriage. Let’s not judge the Paterson’s. But note this … (more…)

Gov. Spitzer and Me

by Mira on March 11th, 2008

Trust took a big hit in America yesterday.

Let’s be honest: this affects all of us. Forget the political scandal: the hypocrisy of a crime-fighting, clean-as-a-whistle governor of New York getting caught visiting prostitutes whose services went for up to $5,500 an hour. This kind of thing has happened many times before. Gov. Spitzer has  resigned, it’s not over.  And make no mistake, this affects us personally, particularly if you’re a woman. (more…)
