The best quick love tip
by Mira and Charles on September 29th, 2007Here’s an amazing fact. For too many of us, marriage is liking living next door to a really good restaurant. The good stuff is there, but you’re not getting it.
Wish things felt better in your relationship? We’ve got a fast, easy, and powerful way to bring back that loving feeling:
Each of you write down a list of things that make you feel loved.Minimum five. Each item should begin with the words, “I feel loved when you…”
The question is what makes YOU feel loved. It’s not about what should make you feel loved. It’s not about what your partner has to give. It’s about what gets through and does it for you.
I’ve heard the most amazing things. One woman said, “I feel loved when you lose weight and your big, fat stomach goes away.” One man said, “I feel loved when I’m sick and you bring me milk and cookies.” It might just be, “I feel loved when you smile at me.”
The things you write down will often be a revelation for your partner. He or she might say, “How would that make you feel loved?” But you don’t have to explain. It might not make him feel loved if you did it. But it makes you feel loved if he does it.
That’s it. If you actually do what makes your partner feel loved, you’ll turn everything negative around and all the love that’s possible for you will start to flow.
