“My spouse would never cheat on me.”
Oh yeah? Well, guess again.
I’m not saying your spouse isn’t a good person. And I’m not saying your spouse will cheat on you. I don’t know what your spouse is going to do! What I am saying is that half of all marriages are touched by infidelity. THERE IS NO OTHER PART OF OUR LIVES WHERE THE RISK OF CATASTROPHE IS SO HIGH.
What you can’t do is take it for granted that your spouse won’t cheat.

Affairs are the heart attacks of relationships. Sometimes the relationship dies. But many times it turns out better than ever.
The best approach is always to look for opportunities for healing. There may be more opportunities, and more healing, than you thought possible. You never know where the healing will come from.
